Our brief was to obtain planning consent for a new portal framed building on the site of a felled woodland for the purpose of maintaining tree harvesting machinery. In addition the building had to include office space and a facility to provide overnight accommodation.
This was a relatively simple project for Roundhouse Architecture and we focused upon meeting the needs of the client which was to create a layout which included a Wash bay, Overhead crane, Inspection pit, gallery floor for light stores, biomass heating system, en-suite bedroom accommodation and office space under one roof. (with the exception of the biomass heating system).

We worked with our clients to provide a design concept that they were happy with. With their approval in place, we made applications for Planning and Building Warrant and approvals were obtained.
The end result is a fully functional building providing the space and accommodation our clients were looking for. The building has been such a success that our clients are looking to expand the facility with a new storage facility for machine parts. This next phase of the project is now in construction on site - we will post updates on progress.
