Ecclesgreig Gardens in St Cyrus, Aberdeenshire was our first multi plot development.  We were briefed with designing a range of house styles.  We are proud to say that the completed street-scape is a very close match to our initial concept and has been popular with new families looking to expand into a larger home.

This development has been shortlisted two years running at the Scottish Home Awards and building upon this success further development schemes have evolved.

Our brief was to apply for planning permission and building warrant for a development of 17 houses on that the land was allocated for this specific number of houses, although we were given the opportunity to introduce a mix of house styles and this had to include a percentage of affordable homes.

The road layout was to meet the new roads standards set out by Aberdeenshire Council.

 

The narrow shape of the overall site made the layout quite linear but with the creative juxtaposition of houses and the varied roof heights and angles the street scape is interesting, fresh and contemporary in view.

 

The design was a contributory aid to win our clients a prestigious development in Royal Deeside impressed by the variation of layout and traditional style.
